All SIPfoundry projects allow anonymous read-only access; the source code repositories and issue trackers are available without creating any account on the server.

In order to have write access to these systems, you do need an account. At present, accounts for the issue tracker and source control systems are maintained separately. You can create an account by yourself on the SIPfoundry site and in our Jira issue tracking system. In order to get an account to edit our Wiki please post to the sipx-dev mailing list and request an account.

Initially new contributors are expected to submit patches and therefore you will not need a subversion account. Submit a patch by doing an "svn diff" against current mainline and attach the resulting patch to an issue in our tracker. We will review it and get it committed.

Issue Tracker Accounts

You can create an issue tracker account yourself; it will ask you for your name and an email address (neither are validated in any way, but if you don't provide a valid email address, then various tracker features won't work for you).

Once you have created an issue tracker account, you'll be able to enter issues into the system and comment on those already there. Some operations, such as changing the priority or status values assigned to an issue, require that your account be set for more privileges; the project coordinators can request those changes.

Source Code Repository Accounts

No acccount is needed to check out a subversion working copy (see the subversion information page and get the URL of the project repository from the project page).

In order to check in to a subversion repository, you must have a subversion account on the server. Project coordinators can request that an account be established and assigned commit access to thier own project. Normally, we use the same user name as you chose for your issue tracker account, but at present they are actually not connected.

Changing your password for the sipXecs project

If you have an account, you can change the password here .

At present, other changes such as changing the associated email address or permissions, can only be made by contacting a This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
