Release 3.2 files have been made available in the public download area: http://www.sipfoundry.org/pub/sipX/ Refer to our roadmap (http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/SipX_Roadmap) for a description of new features. Currently supported Linux platforms include Fedora Core 4, Fedora Core 5, CentOS 4, and Gentoo. Installation instructions are provided on the Wiki: http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/SipX_on_Different_Platforms Known Issues: ------------- This is a Beta release. There is an issue reported that relates to SIP transport over TCP. If confirmed this is a major issue that will have to be fixed before declaring this release stable. Single file installer & libraries: --------------------------------- a) The single file installer now creates a user "sipxpbx" to run sipX instead of "sipxchange". It does no longer ask for a password during the installation process. b) Fedora Core 4 & 5 builds use the standard library "w3c-libwww" provided by Fedora. Only CentOS still depends on "sipX-w3c-libwww". c) Java: Installing Java 1.5 on Fedora Core 5 requires libraries "jpackage-utils", "libXp", and "libXtst". This is instead of the no longer available library "xorg-x11-deprecated-libs". The single file installer for FC5 takes care of that. d) Fedora Core 4 now also moved to gcc 4. Release 3.2 for FC4 and FC5 is built with gcc 4. e) FC4 and CentOS still use Apache 2.0, while FC5 uses Apache 2.2. f) Required dependencies not available for FC or CentOS include: cgicc, mod_cplusplus, and xerces-c. Release Notes: -------------- http://www.sipfoundry.org/sipXpbx/doc/Changelog-Release-3.2.txt (The Changelog includes all the changes for sipXconfig, but might not include changes for other parts of the system. See the Jira tracker for more information). Enjoy! |
