Communicate - And there is nothing more to it! Like with most open source projects communications among developers and users takes mostly place on public mailing lists. That is no different with sipXecs. Web sites are updated once in a while, an effort is made to keep the Wiki up to date, but real-time communication requires a mailing list. All the sipXecs developers are subscribed to the sipX-dev mailing list. Most of the also monitor the sipx-users mailing list. There is a lot going on, so make sure you subscribe to the lists:
sipX-users and sipXdev mailing lists are kind of obvious for what they are used. The sipX-commit list is very interesting for all those who want to follow the development. Every code commit message is posted to this list. In addition all the changes to the Jira issue tracking system are posted to this list as well. Code of Conduct On all of our lists we insist in a civilized tone. Questions from offenders will not be answered. Violators will be banned. Before you ask a questions search the archives and find out whether it has already been answered. Once you pose your question be specific and provide as much information possible. In particular clearly define your environment: What operating system, CPU architecture, and sipXecs release are you talking about? In case of problems post logs. |
