sipXecs project team is looking for maintainers
|
The core development environment for the sipXecs developers team is Red Hat / Fedora Linux, with SuSE Linux a recent addition. Therefore builds on these platforms are thoroughly tested.
sipXecs is available for other platforms though, where the maintenance of the port as well as the creation of release and nightly build distributions is more in the hands of the community.
Information about the current effort to port sipXecs 3.10 to FreeBSD is on our Wiki.
|
A good example is the port to FreeBSD. sipXecs release 3.6 is currently available as a port in FreeBSD. Over the last couple of month a lot of work has been done to update that port and make it available for the 3.10 release. Most of the patches necessary for the 3.6 release have been merged into the main sipXecs repository improving portability and making it easier for maintainers to maintain the port.
We are now looking for someone to take this on and help us test and merge it into the FreeBSD ports library. If you are interested please say so on the sipx-dev mailing list. We are waiting for you! other ports in need of a maintainer are Debian and Ubuntu.
